Silk Flowers disband & Shea Stadium live set
Impose have announced that Silk Flowers have disbanded. The trio leave in their wake a slew a recordings in the past few years, including the most recent posthumous release of Days of Arrest on Captured Tracks. Now in the apparent afterglow live jewels, such as this full-set from their record release party for their final full-length LTD. Form back in February at Shea Stadium. The night, curated by none other than Last Nights, also saw Mazing Vids, Soft Circle, & Images hit the stage for what was a pretty spectacular time of music & good vibes.

Sore Eros - Live @ Shea Stadium by LiveatSheaStadium Hey, back in July Last Nights organized a show with Sore Eros, Psychic Reality, Octo Octa, & Jonas Reinhardt DJing at Brooklyn's Shea Stadium. The night was a lot of fun & what's even better is that Shea has provided a stream of Sore Eros set that night for everyone who couldn't make it or want to groove on their psych-pop tunes. It's kinda like being there, I think... If not no matter it's a good listen!

Last Nights is excited to continue or relationship with the mighty force that is MV & EE. This time joined by Amen Dunes, who himself is preparing to release his second full length LP "Though Donkey Jaw" via Sacred Bones August 16th. Tom Carter (Charamlabides) & Marc Orleans (Sunburned Hand of the Man) will be filling out the evening with performing in their ongoing collaboration as Eleven Twenty-Nine. An exciting night that promises to be full of some hooks & some six string skill.

MV & EE "Suub Duub" tour
Hey MV & EE have announce a summer US tour making rounds across the north-east & a couple stops in Canada. The aptly titled the "Suub Duub Tour" sees the duos second outing this year & Last Nights couldn't be happier.
Some people may remember the duo's last trip out with Mick Flower this past spring on the "April Flower" tour, as Last Nights put on a show or two with them including one at Death By Audio in Brooklyn, NY of which you can see below. That night saw Jefferson High, Images, Spectre Folk, and MV & EE w/ Mick Flower all hit the stage, with a specoal guest appearance by Jeremy Earl of Woods. While emailing wiht MV, he informed me that this tour is being released as part of the duo own Heroine label.
We're stoked to also be hitting back up with Matt & Erika for another night in Brooklyn. This August 10th at Shea Stadium Last Nights will be presenting MV & EE along with Amen Dunes and Eleven Twenty-Nine. This night will also be special as Amen Dunes gets set to release his 2nd full-length album "Through Donkey Jaw" via Sacred Bones records. While not forgetting Elven Twenty-Nine, aka Tom Carter (Charalambides etc.) & Marc Orleans (Sunburned Hand of the Man) who recently released their S/T debut on Northern-Spy records. WE'll soon be providing more info on the event soon so keep your eyes peeled.

A fantastic collision of lush sounds and textures, the record touches on "Blue Jay Way"-style psychedelic drone, melodic pop, and fractured country-rock, all brought together by soaring, cathedral-like production and intonated vocals. ’ve read reviews that try to compare her work to early Björk, but I just don’t hear it. I think all of her material, though this record is her most lucid to date, is less traditionally beautiful than Björk. Instead, there is a reinvented grace and elegance. There’s a lot more here to the exposing and communication of the female soul. We hear a kind of playful intimacy, a vulnerable exchange of dreams, and girlish joy put on exhibition for the listener to experience. Thanks to all who came out to the Silk Flowers Record Release last Friday (2/4)! It was a great time. Happy so many people came out for the party and got to check out all the awesome bands. Shea Stadium, our gracious hosts for the evening, recently launched their own website (liveatsheastadium.com) and will hopefully be providing audio of each set in the near future.
...Anyway big thanks to Shea Stadium, Silk Flowers, Soft Circle, Mazing Vids, R.A.F. & all who came out!
On another note...
Some of you may have noticed the changes to the blog. I've decided it best to widen my focus a bit you could say. First of all I've merged my other blog with this one, creating a sole site for everything that myself & LSTN (Last Nights) are up. This includes the random ponderings and whatnot.
I've also been in the habit of booking & promoting more and more show as of late, rather than putting out an endless stream of recordings that few will buy. Still reserving the right for the occasional LSTN release but mainly everything will go the route of shows as far as promotion stuff goes. Hopefully more fun and useful!
